Open Steam, but not the game
If you kept the default location for the installation of steam, go to the following folder:
For 32-bit OS:
C:\Program Files\Steam\userdata\xxxxxxxx (the x's represent numbers) or
For 64-bit OS:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\xxxxxxxx (the x correspond to numbers) Then delete both folders inside, usually two in number.
Then go to the following directory:
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\call of duty modern warfare 2\players or
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\call of duty modern warfare 2\players

Remove all .stats file ONLY!
Then run the multiplayer mode for Modern Warfare 2 , your profile will be reset,prestige: 0 and Level: 1. To save changes to the profile, you will have to play a game.

Once the game is finished, simply quit the game normally.


I dunno if it works, but there it is.

Does anyone really want to Prestige all over again ? Sheesh...I dont even want to do it once
